About Us

We have been operating a small hobby farm for over 25 years.  We no longer buy and sell or breed horses but we do still offer help for people wanting to know how to handle a horse.  We also grow a bit of grain and make our own hay.  We have a few cattle and they are grass fed and finished with barley, the odd time we have professionally cut and wrapped beef for sale.   Our goals is to make food with no chemicals.  Sometimes we have wheat berries for sale that have had no chemicals used to grow them.

We had a tack shop for many years and still have some tack for sale.  We also own and operate a database of horses with genetic issues.    We have been tracking and recording results for HERDA, HYPP, GBED, MH, PSSM1, MYHM (formerly called PSSM2), IMM and many more.  By looking at a pedigree we can let you know if your horse should be tested.  These genetic issues cause many symptoms in horses from bucking to unpredictable temperaments, to intermittent lameness issues and a wide range of other symptoms.  Often if it is known which genetic issue a horse has drastic improvement can be made with feed and exercise recommendations.
