Where Will I spend Eternity

Everyone at some point in their life asks the question - what happens when I die?

The world has many answers to this question but what is the truth?

Can I really know the truth?

One of the best pieces of advice I can leave the younger generation is "Search for the truth with all your heart."

The world would try to make us believe that you cannot know anything for sure and especially not anything about what happens after you die, the world says the best you can do is muddle through this life and find something that works for you to cling to, to get you through life.

That is not the truth.

The truth is that there is a book, with a source older than any other book written that lays out the truth.  It lays our world history and even lays out the future, and even though many, many skeptics have tried to disprove it, once sincerely seeking the truth of the matter, all who look into it find it is true, undeniably true.  Of course I am talking about the Bible.

The Bible has proven itself true through God's signature, which is prophecy.   God is the only one who knows what will happen ahead of time.  For most of the bible He inspired men to write these prophecies out before they would happen to verify to us that the Bible is true.  Check it out for yourself.  The bible stand up to any test to verify it as truth.

So if the bible is true, and it gives instruction for man living on this earth, and what will happen to man after his time on earth is done - every single person needs to know what it says about eternity.

Life is not over after you die, but when you die you WILL go to one of two places - either heaven (to be with God, the creator of the Universe, and you) or to Hell (which was created for the evil fallen being named Satan).

Every person ever born after Adam and Eve was born separated from God the creator because of sin.  When Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden, God told him the penalty would be death (death means separation from God) and so it was.  Adam sinned and the entire human race after was born separated from God.

Since the penalty for sin was death and since all are born sinners the only way back to God is the way God lays out in the Bible.   The sin debt must be paid.  So God, Himself, came to the earth as a man in the person of Jesus Christ.  He lived a perfect life and died on the cross to die for the sins of the whole world just as the Bible said He would.  HE was buried in a tomb and rose again on the third day, just as the Bible said He would.  All God requires for you to spend eternity with Him is to trust that His Son, Jesus Christ paid your sin debt and for you to realize that you are a sinner, you are sorry for your sins and that you require his payment on the cross to cleanse you from your sins.

If you truly believe this you can pray and tell God you are sorry for the sins you have committed and that you trust His Son for the payment of your sin debt, thank Him for your salvation!  If you prayed the above from the sincerity of your heart something supernatural will happen to you!  You will be "born again" that is to say you will be spiritually born and God will give you a new heart with new desires.  You will still sin, and may try to do things you used to do, but they will no longer be enjoyable.  You will find yourself realizing you need to find a church to attend so you can learn more about god and what He wants from you.  Be careful - the Bible says that in these last days deception will overtake the world.  Many churches today are not real churches.  Start your new prayer life by asking God to help you find the right church and to help you steer through the false teachings of the many churches around today.

It all sounds strange, but the Bible is true and this is what the Creator of the Universe has laid out for His plan for mankind.  Faith is the key ingredient.  Have faith in God, who cannot lie, that what He is written out for us in the Bible is true.   Also you will likely now find that before when you attempted to read the bible it didn't make much sense but after you are "saved" it starts to make a lot of sense.  This is becasue the Bible is a supernatural book and you need God's Holy Spirit inside of you to help you understand.  When you got saved, the Holy Spirit came to live inside of you and He will now help you understand the things of God.
